Resolutions anyone?
January's here and comes with it are the expected slew of resolutions that people roll out trying to make changes or improvements in their lives. Some people are prone to  sharing their resolutions publicly for it helps them stick to their resolve. Others would rather keep mum and quietly go about their resolve. Be it losing weight, eating right, being more loving and caring, being more communicative or expressive of their thoughts and feelings etc. Be a better person, more compassionate, friendlier, educated and be more confident by acquiring more skills and utilizing their talents.

Indeed there is no hard and fast rule as far as what is an effective way of getting to where we want to be in meeting our resolutions. Do whatever works for you - say it out loud if that would make you more accountable. Keep quiet about it-yet do it and do it with positive results. But if you find yourself having the same resolutions year in and year out, maybe its time to change your game plan or seek a solution that may involve the help of a mentor, a buddy or a professional who will be able to guide and work with you. I know for one on my case, I enjoy the group dynamics and like working with people, so it would be a drag if I have to force myself to exercise alone. So it takes more than action to get to where you want, you have to have a strategic plan and for me my strategic plan would be to get myself in activities with people where there can be camaraderie, achievement of mutual goals and the element of fun is just as important as getting started and finishing successfully.

As time goes on and as we add another year to our age, may we consequently add more wisdom as well by applying lessons we've learned so we can experience a full life filled with opportunities or possibilities as well as happiness. A prosperous New Year to everyone.
